Bosnian Candidate Urges Enforcement of Srebrenica Resolution

Dr. Slaven Kovačević, a candidate for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, supports the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Center. He backs their demand for information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska about a planned event. This event would honor convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić in Srebrenica. Kovačević reminded UN member states of their Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide. This resolution condemns glorifying individuals convicted of war crimes and genocide. He warned that silence could make the resolution meaningless. Kovačević emphasized that genocide victims must not be betrayed again.
