Party Challenges Bećirović Over Nikšić's Controversial Remarks
The Hadžići branch of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina (SBiH) strongly criticizes Denis Bećirović. They say Bećirović stays silent on important issues. SBiH Hadžići claims Bećirović has not distanced himself from his party leader, Nermin Nikšić, after several controversial events.
SBiH points to a meeting where Nikšić continued talking with Milorad Dodik. This happened even after Dodik made insulting comments about genocide. Bećirović never spoke out against Nikšić's choice to stay.
Additionally, SBiH recalls Nikšić's statement that people in Bosnia "slaughtered each other." SBiH interprets this as calling Bosniaks "butchers." Bećirović also stayed quiet about this. Nikšić also stated that SDP election lists include members from the Army of BiH, HVO, and VRS. He then mentioned "bearded men" versus "real Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats."
SBiH insists Bećirović must explain Nikšić's statements to Bosniak voters. If he does not, SBiH implies Bećirović holds the same controversial views.
