Srebrenica Police Ban Controversial Mladić Rally

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska has banned a controversial rally. This event was set to support convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić in Srebrenica. Police cited security reasons for their decision. They also banned a planned peaceful protest by Srebrenica victim associations. All public gatherings in Srebrenica were prohibited to maintain public order. Associations like 'Mothers of Srebrenica' planned to protest Mladić's glorification. Police assured these groups the Mladić rally would not take place. However, the associations warned they would protest if the event still proceeds.
