Bosnian Islamic Leader Urges Unity and Responsibility at Eid Event
Reisul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović hosted a traditional Eid al-Adha reception in Sarajevo. The event took place at the Islamic Community's Rijaset building. Guests included leaders from various religious groups, government, diplomatic corps, and public life in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During his address, Reisul-ulema Kavazović connected Eid al-Adha to the Prophet Abraham. He spoke about the importance of sacrifice, unity, and shared responsibility. He stated that these holiday gatherings should confirm trust and good neighborly relations among people. Kavazović expressed his belief that these joyous moments help renew a commitment to caring for one another.
He then spoke about current social conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He warned against those who try to spread hatred and disrupt the trust built after the recent war. Reisul-ulema Kavazović urged people to show wisdom and responsibility. He stressed the need to not give in to provocations. However, he also emphasized that people must not remain silent and should actively oppose the spread of division. He concluded by expressing hope for genuine unity among everyone. He wished all Muslims a happy Eid al-Adha.
