Lendo Warns Bosnia Could Lose Millions in EU Funds Due to Government Inaction
Refik Lendo warned that Bosnia and Herzegovina could lose 373.9 million euros from the European Union Growth Plan. He serves as the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stated that the ruling Trojka coalition and the Council of Ministers are directly responsible for the stalled reforms.
Lendo stressed that recent elections cannot justify the current inaction. The deadline to complete the necessary reforms is December 31, 2026. Since a new government takes time to form, the current Council of Ministers must act immediately to secure the funds. He accused SNSD and HDZ of blocking progress to protect party interests. He also criticized Trojka for making harmful compromises without delivering real results.
According to Lendo, these EU funds belong to the citizens and the economy rather than political parties. He insisted that the state needs concrete results instead of empty promises. The authorities must complete the required work now to prevent severe financial losses.
